Eighteen lessons on making sustainability real inside a business, from clarity of vision through to governance. Roughly 262 minutes of video, a knowledge check on most lessons, and a certificate at the end. Free, in exchange for your email.
Empathy is intelligence about people. Sustainability is what happens when you extend that intelligence to people you will never meet, and to a planet that cannot tell you what it needs.
That is not a metaphor. It is Sphere 4 and Sphere 5 of the method written out in full. Sphere 4 is the affected indirect stakeholders: the supplier three tiers down, the community beside the plant, the customer who inherits a decision made in a meeting they were never in. Sphere 5 is those who come after, who get no vote at all.
Almost every sustainability problem is a people problem. The technical answers are mostly known and already written down. What stops them is what stops everything else. Someone did not want to say the uncomfortable thing. The incentives pointed the other way. Nobody asked the person who would have to live with it.
So this course is not a detour from the method. It is the method applied where the consequences sit furthest from the room. Lesson 5 puts it plainly, that empathy is the superpower for exceptional leadership. Lesson 16 is all things people. Lesson 17 is all things planet. That is the whole argument, and the rest is how you actually do it.
It runs from what sustainability actually means in a commercial setting, through strategy and roadmapping, into journey mapping, communication and governance. The same material the Business Sustainability First Principles coaches work from.
Watch in order or take what you need. Nothing is timed and nothing expires. Eight modules, 18 lessons in total.
Seeing how the wording and SMART goals in the visions can have such an impact, because wording shapes the culture.

From a live skill drill on vision and commitments, May 2025.
This is not a tour of theory. Each lesson hands you something you can put in front of a team on Monday, with the templates and reference sheets to go with it.
The Shannon-Weaver model of communication and Seth Godin's marketing promise, used to test whether a vision survives contact with the people meant to act on it. Most visions fail here, not at the strategy stage.
A template for designing culture on purpose. You either design the relationships and culture you want, or you default into one you did not intend to have.
Values mean nothing until they are interpreted into action. This turns a wall of nouns into observable behaviour people can be held to, with a worked sample to start from.
The commercial approach, for folding sustainability into a strategy that already exists, and the impact category approach for starting from impact instead. Includes a five year sample board and the Future Fit programme.
The same journey mapping the Global Sustainability Tours run on. Map how a person moves through your organisation, and how a product moves through its life, then find where the leverage actually sits.
For internal change management, and the problem of getting buy-in when you are the one asking people to work differently. Comes with a worked HR policy sample.
Regulatory guidance including the ACCC guidelines, worked through real enforcement cases from Coca-Cola, Shell in New Zealand, Procter and Gamble and others. What got them into trouble, and what to say instead.
Science Based Targets, what is worth measuring and what is theatre, and whether reporting is really necessary. The Carbon Almanac and Scaling Impact sit alongside as reference.
Work through all eighteen lessons and the knowledge checks, then write to us and we will issue your certificate. We read every one of those emails, so tell us what you are applying it to. That tends to be the more useful conversation.
Separate, and a longer road. One hundred hours of coaching and consulting on business sustainability, under supervision, across more than two impact categories, and then the Business Sustainability Coach exam. This course is the grounding for it, not the qualification itself.
Leave your name and email and the course opens straight away. No payment, no waiting, and no drip sequence pretending to be friendship.
