The PME Sensing Quad is a practice tool for training your sensing muscle. It works in pairs and takes about twenty minutes.
You use it when you want to get better at reading what is actually happening, in yourself and in the person across from you. Not interpreting, not diagnosing. Sensing. Noticing what is there before you start making stories about it.
One person speaks for six minutes. The other person only senses. No advice, no fixing, no reassurance. You scan three layers:
1
Physical. Scan your body. Heart rate, tension, energy. What is it telling you that you have ignored?
The observer's job is to reflect something back. Paraphrase, or offer a hunch as a question: "I'm sensing... is that right?"
After the round, both people rate all four dimensions from 1 to 5. Be honest. Your lowest score is the point.
Your lowest score is your 90-day focus
Sense others low? Train curiosity. Present low? Stop drifting, stay in it. Sense self low? Build the daily scan. Being sensed low? Let people in, close the gap.
